Ms. Feathers will:

• Provide competent service at a reasonable price.
• Quote a flat, fixed fee based on an estimate of the time needed to complete the appeal and a reasonable hourly rate.
• Thoroughly research the law.
• Write a draft of the brief for review by the litigant and trial counsel.
• Carefully consider comments by the litigant and trial counsel.
• Arrange for timely printing, filing, and service of your papers, using printers that offer the best value in terms of quality service and reasonable prices.
• Review and analyze opposing counsel’s brief.
• Where appropriate, prepare a reply brief and handle oral argument.
• Provide immediate notification of the appeals decision and advice regarding the next steps you can take.

• In addition, when you are the appellant, Ms. Feathers will file the notice of appeal and pre-calendar statement, if that has not already been done by trial counsel, will make a motion for a stay if appropriate, and will compile the record on appeal. When the appellate court schedules a mandatory settlement program, she will consult with you and trial counsel about the possibility of negotiating a settlement.

Ms. Feathers also provides consultation, research and analysis, and writing services at a reasonable per-project cost to trial counsel throughout the state.  Typical services include:
